Liquid Supplement Absorption: Do Drops Absorb Better Than Capsules?
Liquid supplement absorption sounds simple, but we found no source in our evidence set showing that drops absorb better than capsules. The claim is common in ads and unproven here. The Payarmin label does not make it either. What matters first is the amount in each serving.

The claim01
Does liquid supplement absorption beat capsules?
We did not find a source showing that it does.
Ads often say liquids absorb faster because there is no shell to dissolve. That sounds logical, yet we did not find a primary study in our evidence list that compares forms for these ingredients. Without one, we do not repeat the claim.
Notice what is missing too. The Payarmin label says only "Place in mouth and swallow." It claims nothing about absorption, and the sales page offers no study.
Plausible is not proven. Treat any absorption percentage in an ad as unsupported unless it names a study.
What form does change02
What does the form of a supplement actually change?
Form can change comfort, dosing and tolerance, even where absorption is unknown.
| Question | Drops | Capsules |
|---|---|---|
| Swallowing | No pill to swallow | Needs water |
| Dose unit | Dropper, volume may be unprinted | Counted units |
| Preservatives | Liquids list them (Payarmin: sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate) | Often fewer |
| Shake before use | Yes, per Payarmin label | No |
Form can also affect side effects. For beta-alanine, the ISSN says sustained-release forms reduce the tingling that single large doses can cause (ISSN, Beta-alanine position stand). That is about tolerance at gram-level doses, not absorption of a 200 mg blend.
The bigger question03
Is absorption the right question to ask?
Amount comes first, since even perfect absorption of a tiny dose stays tiny.
Payarmin lists a 200 mg blend of 22 ingredients per 1 mL. If split evenly, each would hold about 9 mg, and the label does not print real amounts (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36). Chromium is 0.7 mcg against adequate intakes of 20 to 35 mcg a day (NIH ODS, Chromium).
See the full label and the how to use Payarmin page. Ask a pharmacist before adding any supplement, and keep taking prescribed medicine.
FAQ04
Liquid supplement absorption questions
Do liquid vitamins work faster than pills?
We found no source in our set that shows this for the ingredients in Payarmin. Faster claims in ads need a named study before you rely on them.
Should I take drops with food?
The Payarmin label names no time or food rule. The sales page recommends the morning before a meal. Ask your clinician if you take medicine on a schedule.
Why do liquid supplements need preservatives?
Water-based liquids can spoil. Payarmin lists sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, plus citric acid. The label also says to store it away from heat, light and humidity.
Is holding drops under the tongue better?
The Payarmin label says place in mouth and swallow. We found no source supporting a different method, so follow the label.
